Abstracts

Although we needed to cancel CAPA2020 due to the global pandemic, we pursued one of our goals of creating a Special Edition on the State of the art in participation research for those with disability, by engaging with our Keynote and other accepted abstract speakers. Co-edited by Christine Imms, Anna Ullenhag and Reidun Jahnsen, the Special Edition was published by Disability and Rehabilitation (articles early online in 2021 and fully published 2022).

In CAPA 2022 we plan again to come together, in the beautiful mountains of Norway, to progress international efforts for positive participation outcomes. We want to extend our CPAP2020 work by sharing and discussing the perspectives and lessons learned from this work – for practice, policy, organisational structures, and future research. Our question is how to change the focus from capturing the magic to sharing the magic for all.

Abstract submission for the CAPA 2022 symposium is now open. The closing date is 19th of April 2022.

Please read the 'guidelines for submission of abstracts' below before you begin to submit an abstract.

Abstracts are reviewed and selected by the CAPA Scientific Program Committee. Accepted scientific presentations may be allocated to either an oral presentation or a poster (additional descriptions below). You will be notified about the outcome of your abstract submission by the 6th of May2022. The presenter is expected to attend the symposium and present the poster or an oral presentation. The presenter must be one of the abstract authors.
